The Friends Committee on National Legislation is anxious for Friends to become more active in sharing our Quaker messages with our Congressional delegation in Washington, DC. A number of significant issues are before Congress, and our Representatives and Senators have key roles in these decisions. Come learn how to be more effective in the various forms of lobbying from an experienced member of the FCNL staff, David Culp, Legislative Representative on Nuclear Disarmament. The program will be at Friends Meeting at Cambridge (5 Longfellow Park, Cambridge) and will also include time for learning about what is happening in Washington and to plan group lobbying efforts. Please contact Ian Harrington (owlih@comcast.net, 508-655-6632) for information.
