Christians at the Border...

While there is need for an immediate voice in response to what has happened in AZ, there also is time for folks to become more informed on the issue. One of the best things I have read for people of faith is a book by M. Daniel Carroll R. , Christians at the Border: Immigration, the Church and the Bible. Sojourners offers a six week study guide of the book as well. I would encourage folks to consider a discussion group based on the book as one of the ways to help move more deeply into immigration work.

There are numerous copies of this book available on Abebooks, prices starting at under $3.
As for discussion group -- This would be wonderful, and I hope people can get up this much steam. Diego Low & I have been trying to draw attention to this issue for years -- So far it's like pulling teeth to get people to hear us even once. Will look up the study guide. Cynthia Ganung also has a UU curriculum on the subject, a little shorter & less demanding.
